Nathan first entered practice in 2002, and has been a Chartered Architect since 2013. After joining RTK in 2010, he became a Company Director in 2019.
At his first practice, Nathan worked on a wide variety of projects from Transport Interchanges through to large residential/retail schemes and banking, though his main area of work was in the development of social housing on rural exception sites. He also undertook work in the conservation centre, most notably the John Clare Heritage centre.
Since joining RTK his focus has been more on high end private and developer residential projects, also undertaking work in the educational and commercial sectors. Conservation projects, involving period and/or listed properties, form a large part of his work, and he has undertaken the refurbishment of several Grade II and II* large country properties, as well as working on the Grade I listed Grimsthorpe Castle. At the other end of the spectrum, he has delivered numerous barn conversions and designed several (some award winning) bespoke new build houses, and works very closely with a number of local large country estates in the development and refurbishment of their property portfolios.
Nathan is directly involved in projects at all RIBA work stages, from inception through to Practical Completion and beyond.
Outside of the practice, Nathan enjoys travelling with family, running, long distance walking and playing golf (badly).
